Parallel Products wants to expand their facility on Duchaine Blvd to include the processing of municipal solid waste and sewage sludge. This would mean more truck traffic, odors, noises, lights, etc., impacting the surrounding residences.

We are collecting information on nuisances experienced or observed by folks in the neighborhood to capture a baseline of the conditions and problems that already exist as part of our work to stop the expansion of this facility. For example: video clips, audio clips, pictures, written reports.

We will be compiling this information over the next several months and sending it to the Mass Dept. of Environmental Protection and the New Bedford Board of Health as helpful context in upcoming decisions they will be making on the permitting of this project.

When submitting a report to this tip line, please be sure to provide a date, time and specific location, as well as details of what you experienced or observed. These incidents need to be something that would impact quality of life, or the health and welfare of the public, such as: odors, noise, traffic, excessive lighting, smoke/smog, pests/vermin, pollution, etc.
